Necklace + other New Year musings
I don't really like being one of those bloggers that posts everything they buy on a "haul" BUT I thought this necklace was deserving of inclusion.
I'm not huge on jewellery (other than a watch and Claddagh ring that I always wear), but I hadn't yet bought a statement necklace.
I went into Sportsgirl for a squiz after a Pilates class on Saturday morning and found this statement piece which had been marked down from $30, to $20 and then to $10. I couldn't resist and was tempted to buy it in the other colours too - black, yellow and coral.
I think turquoise will look fantastic with a lot of colours though, so am happy with my choice. It's quite heavy, so my only hope is that I don't topple over! (Or worse, the beads break off and scatter everywhere... it has happened to me before.)
On another note, how has everyone's start to the New Year been? I mentioned in a previous post how one of my goals for 2013 was to be more appreciative of all the great things that happen to me, because I know a lot of us have a tendency to forget about them and get caught up on silly other dramas.
With that in mind, I bought a pretty little jar from Ikea (can't remember the exact price but it was under $5), and I know I'm on the right track when I've started to fill it with notes of wonderful happenings already!
I've been very busy since the start of January, and a definite highlight was working at the Apia International Sydney tennis tournament in the media team. I even got the chance to interview some of the top players, such as Agnieszka Radwanska and Marinko Matosevic, which I know is something I'll always remember.
